The Annual Book Sale

The Friends hold their Annual Book Sale the first weekend of August in conjunction with the Suttons Bay Art Festival.

Each year, the Book Sale includes thousands of fantastic books & media including contemporary fiction, rare & unique books, a marvelous Michigan collection, a great cook book collection, phenomenal gardening books, as well as non-fiction of all sorts and so much more.

The Book Sale is one of the largest fundraisers for the Friends and in the past has helped fund the renovation of the Community Meeting Room, the entryway, the bathrooms, as well as expand both the audio book and large print collections amongst many other things.

The Annual Book Sale could not happen without your support both through book purchases and donations!

Book Sale Volunteers

This is a big sale and a big job. There are many volunteer jobs before, during and after the sale such as helping with book donation drop-off days, moving the books from storage to the sales tents, putting up & taking down the sales tents and staffing sales tables. All jobs are done by volunteers. Please become a Book Sale Volunteer – we need your help to make it a success!
